Bangalore: Karnataka recorded 270 new COVID-19 cases and 4 deaths on Saturday, with 30,04,239 cases and 38,309 passers-by.
According to the Ministry of Health report, the number of collections was 246, totaling 29,58,630, and 7,271 active cases remain.
Bangalore Urban remains the leading cause of cases, reporting 152 infections and 2 deaths. Coorg recorded 25 cases, Tumakul and Udupi 14 cases each, Misuru 13 cases and Dakshinakannada 11 cases. With the exception of Bangalore, one person each died in Dawad and Udupi.
The positive rate for the day was 0.27% and the case fatality rate was 1.48%.
A total of 97,782 samples were tested in the state on Saturday, and the cumulative number of specimens investigated so far reached 5.59 chlores, the report said.
Also on this day, 91,707 people were vaccinated, bringing the total number of people who have been jabed to date to 8.45 chlores.
