Bangalore: In 405 new cases, the COVID-19 count for Karnataka reached 30,03,969, and the cumulative death toll reached 38,305 with four deaths, the Ministry of Health said Friday.
The ministry said in its newsletter that 267 people had been dismissed and the total number of recovery reached 29,58,384. The active cases were 7,251.
Bangalore Urban continued to be the leading cause of COVID cases, with 254 infections and 2 deaths reported.
In other districts, there were fresh cases including 32 in Uttara Kannada, 20 in Dakshina Kannada, 18 in Kolar, 16 in Tumakuru, 13 in Mysuru and Udupi respectively, and 12 in Kodagu.
With the exception of Bangalore, COVID-19 killed one person each in Mithul and Belagabi.
The positive rate for the day was 0.35% and the case fatality rate was 0.98%.
A total of 1,14,559 samples, including today’s 93,102 RT-PCR tests, have been tested in the state, bringing the cumulative number of samples tested to date to 5.58 chlores.
With 2,19,340 vaccinations on Friday, the total number of vaccinations against COVID in the state reached 843 million rupees.
