$ 7 billion worth of renewable energy projects planned in Kuwait

MEED magazine said international pressure to contribute to the fight against climate change has stimulated long-term plans for a transition to green energy for both oil exporters and importers in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions. I reported.

According to the magazine, the three Gulf countries of Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain do not currently have the capacity to generate renewable energy, with total capacity of 20,258 MW, 10,622 MW and 8774 MW, respectively, in the other three Gulf countries. Saudi Arabia United Arab Emirates and Oman Arabia have 442 MW, 2706 MW, and 687 MW capacity (alternative or renewable), respectively, and report local Arabic daily.

The magazine noted that Kuwait plans to generate renewable energy, but has not yet been awarded, for a total of $ 7.12 billion.
