Last weekend, the 71st St. Anthony’s Croatian picnic began in Los Angeles.

The picnic is Heidi Wolfertgra, director of the Coro Group Croatia, chairman of the Financial Council of the Parish of St. Anthony in Los Angeles, and organizer of the 71st Croatian Picnic with Katikaban, Zorakadovak and Cresogurbavak. Opened by Nick.

Don Ivan Jordan, pastor of the Parish of St. Anthony, subsequently welcomed and congratulated all attendees.

Then, on behalf of the Croatian Embassy in Washington, DC, Ambassador Pjer Simunovic and Renee Pea, the Consulate General on behalf of the Consulate General of Los Angeles, greeted the crowd.

Seniors from the Coro Group Croatia performed songs and dances from the Posavina region, choreographed by Jericho Jagan. Nicoleta and Juliana Van also sang two Croatian songs as part of the program.

After the program, Jericho also held a Coro Clinic, teaching songs and dances in Slavonia, Međimlie, Rica, Bačka and Zagolier.

There was also a boćanje (bocce) contest sponsored by Jure Glamuzin, and there were lots of fun activities for young and old alike.

The Croatian Catholic Church in St. Anthony in Los Angeles held a silent auction as part of a picnic. Auctioned items include Croatian football team signed jersey, Luka Modric, Los Angeles Clippers Star Ibiza Zubak, Davor Šuker, Marin Cilic, Hajduk Split, Dinamo Zagreb and books. I did.

All the money raised will be used to repair the parish hall that was destroyed by the fire and flood last year.

After the silent auction, the festival continued with Croatian food, desserts, and Chicago Bravo band music.
