79-year-old gardener elder who died in a chainsaw accident at home

An elderly gardener died in a chainsaw accident.

The 79-year-old boy was seriously injured and unable to be saved and was declared dead on the scene.

The ambulance crew, trauma doctors, paramedics, and ambulances all went to an address in Kidderminster, Worcester.

An ambulance service spokesperson said, “It soon became clear that we couldn’t do anything to save the man.”

His death was not treated as suspicious, but was reported to the coroner, Westmid police said.

A resident living in a quiet dead end near the place where the man was killed said:

“He was very proud of the appearance of his garden, especially the hedges.

“We are very close to this road and are really shocked by what happened.”
