A magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck the central coast of Taiwan, with no reported damage.

Magnitude 6.0 earthquake shook Taiwan Monday morning. There were no immediate reports of damage or injury. According to the Central Weather Bureau of Taiwan, the quake occurred at 9:05 am in Hualien County, 6.8 km deep, in the middle of the east coast of the island.

It was felt on most of the 24 million islands, including the northern part of the capital Taipei. According to China’s national broadcaster CCTV, it was also felt in the Taiwan Strait in Fujian Province, mainland China.
