A new way to relax in the popular Železná Studnička in Bratislava

Visitors to Železná Studnička, a favorite spot for outings in Bratislava, will find a new place to relax near the pond.
The wooden staircase, which provides a place for visitors to sit and relax, was built by the fourth pond, announced by Marcela Glevická of the Bratislava Metropolitan Institute.
Wooden stairs provide people with direct contact with water. Moreover, its natural design structure did not interfere with the lives of animals living on nearby banks or ponds.
From the new point, people can observe fish, terrapins, grass snakes, dragonflies, or frogs whose corridors for movement have been created. Construction was licensed by environmentalists.
“The purpose of this project is to provide visitors with a new space for direct contact with the surface of the water,” said Mayor Matuschvallo, quoted by SITA Newswire. “Even such a small structure can contribute to discoveries and new experiences.”
In addition to the stairs, there is also a buffet at the partizánska Lúka meadows being reconstructed.
“A new barrier-free bridge is also planned in the direction of Partizánska Lúka,” said Marcel Dzurilla, director of the MIB’s Urban Space Creation section, as quoted by SITA.
He added that they are also working on the entrance to the city forest of Bratislava from Pekna Sestah and the renewal of the former gamekeeper’s lodge on the grounds of the ammunition depot. Among the recently completed projects are the Vydrica observation post and the Malý Slavín compound update.
