A Pinole man died in a motorcycle accident Saturday.
PINOLE – A motorcyclist has died after a crash in Pinole over the weekend, police said.
According to the Pinole Police Department, the single-vehicle crash happened around 8 p.m. Saturday on San Pablo Avenue near Oak Ridge Road.
The motorcyclist, Collin Batchelder, 46, of Pinole, was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police, the initial investigation determined Batchelder was traveling east on San Pablo Boulevard when he struck the curb on the west side of the intersection with Oak Ridge Boulevard.
Batchelder lost control of his motorcycle and was thrown from the bike, which came to rest near St. Joseph Parish Center.
It was not immediately clear whether speed, alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
