A small home repair initiative has begun

NASSAU, Bahamas — Minister of Social Welfare and Urban Development. Lisa Ramming held a press conference today (May 3) and launched the ministry’s home repair initiative at the headquarters of the Urban Renewal Commission.

The initiative was to announce subsidies and contractors for the repair of homes in urgent need of repair. At the press conference, there was a contractor to support this project.

President Stephen Dean of Urban Redevelopment has given the criteria for eligibility to be awarded grant aid for repairs. Vice President Charlie Major then explained the scope of the exercise, starting with the new Providence.
