A man who went missing during snorkeling off the coast of New Taipei City yesterday was rescued by a fishing boat in Yilan County on Sunday, May 8.

Reportedly, a 43-year-old man named Shen snorkeled with a partner named you near the Magan fishing port in the Gongliao district around 8 am on Saturday. I landed around noon, but I couldn’t find Shen. You searched for a few hours before asking for help from the New Taipei City Fire Department.

The NTCFD and the Executive Yuan of the Republic of China began searching the coast and sea of ​​the missing man late yesterday afternoon, but could not find him. Land, sea and air searches resumed early this morning.

Around 10 am, a fishing boat from the samurai harbor was reportedly found drifting outside the harbor and picked him up. Shen was conscious and his life was not at stake.
