Abu Dhabi updates travel green list, reducing the number of destinations from 95 to 73

Abu Dhabi has revised its travel green list to reduce the number of destinations from the previous 95 to 73.

The new list released by the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) will take effect on Sunday, December 26th.

All travelers arriving from the updated Green List destination will be exempt from compulsory quarantine measures after landing in Abu Dhabi.

Countries excluded from the previous list are Algeria, Belize, Bhutan, Bolivia, Brunei, Burundi, Chile, Colombia, Comoros, Ecuador, Estonia, Iceland, Lichtenstein, Malta, Mauritius, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Morocco, This is Sun, New Zealand. Marino, Seychelles, Tunisia, Burundi.

Two countries have also been added, including Papua New Guinea and Iraq.

All travelers are required to present a valid, negative Covid-19 PCR test result up to 48 hours before departure and take the PCR test upon arrival at Abu Dhabi International Airport.

Passengers vaccinated with the Green List will undergo another PCR test on day 6 (the day they arrive in Abu Dhabi counts as day 1). Unvaccinated travelers arriving from Greenlist countries are required to undergo a PCR test on days 6 and 9.

In September, the Emirate abolished the quarantine requirements for all vaccinated travelers arriving in Abu Dhabi from all international destinations.

The green list shows inbound travel sources, not passenger citizenship.

According to DCT Abu Dhabi, this move will help ease travel restrictions while maintaining safety protocols.

The countries, regions and regions on the green list are regularly updated based on international trends, DCT Abu Dhabi said.

“Listing is subject to strict standards of health and safety protocols for travel, ensuring and prioritizing the well-being of the UAE community,” he added.
