Acting legend John Cleese, 84, was spotted being pushed through the airport in a wheelchair upon arriving in Los Angeles.
John Cleese was spotted being carried away in a wheelchair after landing at Los Angeles International Airport after a long flight.
The 84-year-old Monty Python legend kept his head bowed throughout his passage through Los Angeles airport, supported by ground staff, after the long flight.
The star looked casual yet always smart in jeans and a cream suit jacket.
John had his luggage on his lap and seemed engrossed in the phone he was holding in his hand.
An LAX security guard walked in front of him, an officer pushed his wheelchair, and his aide walked behind him carrying another bag.
Cleese has been busy this year with the musical sequel to one of his most iconic shows, “Fawlty Towers.”
The show premiered in May, with Cleese handing over the role of the bumbling, angry lead Basil to a new actor.
He also celebrated the 45th anniversary of Monty Python's “Life of Brian,” which became an international comedy phenomenon.
Ahead of the anniversary, Cleese admitted in March that he had used a psychic medium to reconnect with one of his former comedy troupe members, Graham Chapman.
Chapman, who died of cancer 35 years ago, reportedly spoke to Cleese posthumously in a chance conversation.
Cleese said Chapman, who starred in the Python film “Life of Brian,” mentioned things a psychic could not possibly know.
He recalled: “She said, 'Who's Graham?' I said, 'Graham Chapman?' She said, 'He talks about his pipe all the time.' I said, 'Yes, he smoked a pipe all the time.'”
“And she said, 'He's rolling up his trouser legs,' and I said, 'Yes, that's a sketch we did about the Freemasons.' I know she hasn't seen it; it was only aired once or twice. She said, 'He's wagging his parrot at you.'
It pointed to a sketch of a dead parrot. But the next time he visited, she said, he was wagging the striped tail of a monkey.
Creese claims it is a ring-tailed lemur named after him.
He continued, “It's called 'Creese's Woolly Lemur.' There's no way she'd know that.”
Away from the spotlight, Cleese is a big supporter of the animals in his life, sharing his love for his daughter's new pet dog, Harry.
Posting the new family member on Instagram, Cleese was shown doting on the dog as the tiny pup sat patiently on his lap while he was in his wheelchair, and later during a car ride.
“This is Harry. Rescued by my daughter @camillacleese. I love him so much,” he wrote.
Like her father, Camila is a Los Angeles-based stand-up comedian who has made a name for herself.
