SAFEEN, a subsidiary of AD Ports Group, has acquired a support vessel to increase its subsea servicing capabilities.
Built in 2014, the vessel, formerly known as the Nordic Prince, operates under the name ‘SAFEEN Surveyor’ and has undergone several pre-commissioning inspections, including the installation of an integrated diving system to support pipeline repair and maintenance. A major refurbishment will take place.
“The vessel has a successful track record of projects in the Middle East and has provided a variety of support services, including subsea inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) and remotely operated vehicle (ROV) work,” AD Port said. I’m here.
‘SAFEEN Surveyor’ is a Vik-Sandvik Design VS460 MKIII subsea service vessel with dynamic positioning system, 75.5 meters in length, 6,300 tons in deadweight and capable of accommodating 60 people. The AD port houses an 80T Active Heave Compensation (AHC) offshore brain for servicing in water depths up to 2,000m.
captain Amal Al ShaibaDeputy CEO of AD Ports Group’s Maritime Cluster and SAFEEN Group said: We see great growth potential in the subsea support sector, especially in inspection, repair and maintenance, and SAFEEN Surveyor has already performed admirably in these areas. “
“The maritime services sector is very dynamic in the MENA region and we believe we have a compelling proposition underpinned by state-of-the-art infrastructure and fleets.”
AD Port does not share the purchase price of the vessel. According to VesselsValue, AD Ports purchased the vessel from Nordic Maritime in Singapore on Sept. 28.
