Angelo Gafa does not testify about the Electrogas transaction on the PAC as the PL MP voted against it.

Labor lawmakers on Tuesday blocked PN’s move to have police commissioner Angelo Gafa testify in front of the electrogas plant’s public accounting committee.

Gafa is one of the witnesses’ laundry lists that nationalist MPs want to summon to talk about the deal on electrogas power plants, and the Commission continues to investigate in this parliament.

However, the Commission’s PL MP said the Commission was not authorized to ask police questions about possible ongoing investigations.

Disagreements arose when Chair Angelo Fargia asked for a ruling on this issue last week. Fargia in turn washed the issue on Monday, saying it was up to the Commission to reach an agreement.

In fact, no such agreement was reached at the Tuesday afternoon seat.

Similarities were drawn in 2013 in front of the same committee as PLMP did not oppose police testifying about the oil corruption scandal, but PL MP Glenn Bedingfield has already completed its investigation into the case. And people claimed to have been charged.

Vickers continued, but it didn’t help.

PLMP’s Alex Muscat, Andy Ellul, Glenn Bedingfield, and Clayton Bartolo all voted against summoning Gafa for testimony. This is enough to defeat the three PNMPs who voted in favor of this move.
