ANSA to join anti-fake European news agency coalition

(ANSA) – ROME, Sept. 2 – ANSA will join a coalition of anti-fake European news agencies called the European Newsroom.

Funded by the European Commission, the project also includes AFP, DPA and many other national news agencies.

It will be unveiled at the Berga distributor’s headquarters in Brussels on Tuesday.

Among those in attendance will be the European Commission’s Vice-President for Values ​​and Transparency, Vera Jourova, and Margaritis Squinas, in charge of Promoting the European Lifestyle.

Others include Italy’s Permanent Representative to NATO, Ambassador Francesco Maria Taro, ANSA Managing Director Stefano De Alessandri, and DPA CEO Peter Klopsch.

De Alessandri said the European Newsroom will be “a collaboration between European news outlets to share best practices, improve news quality and combat misinformation”. (ANSA).
