Arab parliament condemns anti-Riyadh rhetoric

Cairo — On Friday, Arab parliamentary speaker Adel al-Asumi vehemently denied and condemned Saudi Arabia’s recent comments following OPEC+’s decision to cut production by 2 million barrels per day from next month.

In a press statement, Al-Asoomi expressed the Arab Parliament’s absolute support for Saudi Arabia and said OPEC resolutions would be adopted unanimously based on supply and demand mechanisms.

He appreciated the Kingdom’s decisive and important role in the Arab, regional and international domains.

He also appreciated all the measures taken by Saudi Arabia to protect the global economy from energy price volatility, in addition to its balanced approach to maintaining stable global oil markets. – agency
