Archaeologists discover the remains of a 6th century warrior skeleton

Archaeologists in the Breclav region have discovered an almost intact skeleton of a 6th-century warrior and his two dogs. They came across the ruins while investigating one of the largest burial sites of the Germanic Lombards of the 6th century near the Nove Murini Reservoir. Pavla Růžičková of the Institute of Archeology, Academy of Sciences, who announced the findings, said that very well-preserved skeletal debris contributes to a deeper understanding of the genetic composition of the Langobard population, its health or diet.
