Arrests made in Union City movie theater shooting
UNION CITY — Two Oakland residents have been arrested in connection with a shooting at a Union City movie theater this summer, authorities said.
According to Union City Police, the shooting happened in the early morning hours of June 26 at Cinemark Century Union Landing 25, located at 32100 Union Landing Boulevard.
The man suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at a nearby hospital.
Detectives have identified a 38-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman as suspects in the case.
Police said Friday that both suspects were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and conspiracy and were booked into the Santa Rita Jail.
According to police, both suspects have previous arrests – the man has been arrested for possession of a firearm and assault with a deadly weapon, while the woman has been arrested for theft and drug offences.
