As many as 21 people died in road accidents this year-so far

So far this year, the number of people killed in road accidents has risen to a shocking 21 and traffic police on the island are on the alert, Philenews reports.

On Monday, the Minister of Transport will hold an extraordinary meeting with all relevant parties to focus on how to brake the road dead.

Last year, 14 of our fellow humans died in 14 fatalities during the first six months of the year. And compared to this year, when 19 road accidents have killed 21 people so far, the increase is significant.

An indication of the misery of the situation is the fact that five people have died in the last five days alone.

According to police, collisions that drivers and pedestrians could have avoided if they took basic measures.

Of the five recently missing, three were motorcycles and two were foreigners.
