ATHEX: Stock Exchange Index Returns Above 900 Points

Bank stocks helped benchmarks retake the psychologically important 900-point level on Tuesday after a price rally on Athinon Avenue. This was despite international fears over predictions of a partial lockdown in A number of high-quality Athens stocks have attracted buyers, further boosting the market.
The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) Composite Index closed at 900.07 points, adding 0.93% to Monday’s 891.81 points. The Large Cap FTSE-25 Index rose 0.84% to reach 2,187.67 points.
The Banking Index was up 1.51%, Alpha was up 5.26% and Piraeus was up 2.03%. National gave him 0.95%, while Eurobank conceded his 0.96%.
ElvalHalcor rose 3.82%, Viohalco gained 3.26%, Sarantis recovered 2.65%, ADMIE Holdings gained 2.34% and motor oil increased 2.27%.
In total, 55 stocks rose, 36 fell, and 30 remained unchanged.
Sales increased to €56.9 million from €33.8 million on Monday.
In Nicosia, the General Index on the Cyprus Stock Exchange rose 1.55% to 78.76 points.
