Bachuka Croatian Theme at the World Festival of Croatian Literature

The 3rd World Festival of Croatian Literature will be held in Zagreb from November 15th to 17th, 2021 under the auspices of the Speaker of the Republic of Croatia, Gordan Yandrokovich.

The main theme of this year’s festival is the position of the Croatian Bačka in Serbia, with participation from Bačka Tomislav Zigmanov, Vladimir Nimchevic and Rajcho Persic.

European writers such as Burgenland Croats scholars Nicola Benchic, Julica Chhena, Agnica Chhena Schuster, Ivan Rotter and Dorothea Zeichmann will also be performing at the festival.

The Italian Croats in Molise are represented by Antonio Samartino, Leopold Lari and Antonio Piccoli, while Petal Hategan and Anka Svetlana Fakrachi come from Carashova, Romania.

Croats from the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro are represented by Adrian Vuxanovich, Tropesko Dekovic, Diana Milosevic and Vladimir Malbutic. Writer and spokeswoman Stjepan Šulek is from Germany. Chile’s Oscar Andres Varientos Bradasic and Andres Morales Milonic’s great writers, and Brazil’s Melun Pooh, talk about their connections to Croatian literature and the future of those connections.

The total number of invited participants from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina is Ivan Aralica, Luko Paljetak, Stanka Gjurić, Đuro Vidmarović, Slobodan Prosperov Novak, Željka Lovrenčić, Hrvoje Hitrec, Fr. Millenko Stoitch and others.
