Bishop Neil C. Ellis has launched an award for excellence for young Bimini students!




Four Bimini students prepare for a speech contest that will lead to a six-year scholarship.

BIMINI | Bishop Neil C. Ellis returned to Posey Bay in Bimini on Monday to give back to his community, who protected and raised him many years ago.

So he launched the Neil C. Ellis Awards of Excellence in Alice Town, a program initiated by his church entitled “Circle of Excellence” chaired by Levan Miller. I did.

Four young Bahamans from a small island were selected to participate in a speech contest in search of a chance to win a six-year scholarship at the Gateway Christian Academy. Those who participate in the contest will have a prize.

Alejah Culmer, Braylen Russell, Edajah Hanna and Deshawn Cooper were the students selected for the contest.

Bishop Ellis also awarded Miranda Sanders of Louise McDonald High a full scholarship to Florida A & M University – FAMU.
