Faro is preparing for the revival of the town’s boat show Far Nautica From Thursday to Sunday (May 5-8) to Jardim Manuel Bivar.
After a two-year suspension due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the event will re-exhibit recreational boats and other navigational equipment. According to the organizers, about 20 institutions and companies related to the maritime sector will also participate.
Delicious seafood is another highlight of the event, offering several “tasquinhas” (stalls), from fried and grilled shrimp to porridge with the famous “Zelem” corn of asari, oysters and algarve.
The goal of this event is “to strengthen the relationship between Faro and the coast, the sea and Leah Formosa by strengthening the history, culture and identity in which the sea plays a very important role,” said the Faro Parish Union. Stated in a statement.
Admission is free. The event runs from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm.
Other sea-related events are also planned at Faro this week. The first edition of the town’s K1 canoe tournament is scheduled for Saturday, May 7, with about 100 athletes gathering in the town to compete along the rear formosa.
