Bumi Armada rolls up a dormant subsidiary

Malaysian offshore services company and FPSO provider Bumi Armada has decided to dissolve its two dormant subsidiaries.

According to the company, the subsidiaries Offshore Marine Ventures Sdn Bhd and Bumi Armada Ship Management Sdn Bhd approved the voluntary dissolution of the two companies by a special resolution at their respective member meetings held on Thursday, December 30, 2021.

RSM Corporate Advisory (Malaysia) SdnBhd’s Arulendran Gunedran has been appointed as a liquidator for the purpose of liquidating such subsidiaries.

Offshore Marine Ventures was founded on July 22, 2005. OMV was primarily involved in activities that consisted of providing sea shipping and support services to the oil and gas industry. OMV has been dormant since 2021.

Bumi Armada Ship Management was established on February 7, 1998. The company was primarily involved in ship and ship management, marine assistance, and services to other offshore oil and gas companies. Management of the Bumi Armada vessel has been dormant since 2021.

Bumi Armada provided evidence of voluntary liquidation, stating that the subsidiary is dormant and that the liquidation is in line with the company’s rationalization.
