The Los Angeles Police Department on Sunday released photos of three people suspected of involvement in the shooting death of former “General Hospital” actor Johnny Wactor in May.
A grainy photo released by the Los Angeles Police Department on Sunday showed three people wearing hooded sweatshirts, and police noted that the shooter has tattoos over his left eye and above his right cheek.
The photo also shows a black, four-door Infiniti Q50 sedan with a brown interior, which authorities said was stolen.
Authorities did not release any other details or updates about the incident.
CNN previously reported that Wachter, 37, was shot in the early morning hours of May 25 as he was returning home from work at a rooftop bar downtown.
His mother told CNN affiliate KABC that her son was walking with one of his coworkers when they saw someone fixing a car.
The Los Angeles Police Department told CNN at the time that three men were trying to steal catalytic converters when the victim prevented them from doing so, and police said one of the suspects pulled a gun and shot the victim before the men fled in a vehicle.
At a press conference in June with city leaders and Wachter's family and friends, Los Angeles City Councilman Kevin de Leon urged anyone with information to come forward.
“While catalytic converter theft is often considered a minor or victimless crime, what happened to Johnny is not,” de Leon said. “This tragic case highlights how quickly these actions can escalate into deadly violence.”
Similarly, Wachter's friend and fellow actor Micah Parker called on the LAPD to show no mercy until the suspects are brought to justice.
“My faith calls me to forgive, but I cannot escape the consequences of my actions here on earth. I can no longer steal and murder with impunity and terrorize our streets,” Parker said.
According to IMDB, Wachter played Brando Corbin on “General Hospital” from 2020 to 2022. His other credits include “Criminal Minds” and “Siberia.”
