Center begins research to determine the need for booster doses

New Delhi: The Center has begun a survey of the 3,000 individuals it received. Both doses of the Covid vaccine to determine the need for booster doses in the looming horror of Omicron.
This research is conducted by the Translational Health Sciences and Technology Institute (THSTI) under the Biotechnology Division. Participants who have already been vaccinated with both doses of the Covid vaccine will be given boost immunity to determine the effect on immune levels. This study is expected to cover all three vaccines used in India (Covishield, Covaxin, and Sputnik V).
According to sources, the study includes people over the age of 40, under the age of 40, people infected with Covid-19 before vaccination, and people with comorbidity. The hospitals involved in the study will submit a report on blood samples, along with an analysis of the need for booster immunity in India, sources said.
With the daily increase in Omicron cases in India, the need for booster doses has been expressed by many institutions. Federal Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya previously stated that boost immunization decisions in India are based on scientific data and analysis. The National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (NTAGI) will meet in the first week of January to call on the same.
