Bucharest City Hall (PMB) draft decision For the approval of the rules on the conditions of use of self-service electric scooters rented through online platforms, in the public domain of the City of Bucharest.

This regulation applies to electric scooter fleet operators and their users. According to the draft regulations, the operator is obliged to obtain a permit issued following a request submitted by the operator in this regard to the Department of Transportation within the PMB.

If there are bike lanes, use them only. In the absence of tracks, circulation of electric scooters is only permitted on road sections where the maximum speed allowed for vehicle circulation is 50 km/h. Scooter lighting with visible lighting means, reflective fluorescent devices, an effective braking system, and an acoustic warning system.
