The magical Christmas spirit has arrived at the Algarve Forum, which officially kicked off the celebrations on November 12th.

Visitors were delighted with the arrival of Santa, the opening of the Christmas Village and the popular ice skating rink in the shopping center’s central square.

The event also marked the launch of the latest edition of a series of books written under that name. Libro de Gui (Book of Gui).

Entitled À Descoberta de Portugal, the book recreates some of Portugal’s most iconic monuments and is the inspiration for this year’s Christmas Village, where Santa meets young visitors.

Each edition of the book is given a map of Portugal with the goal of collecting all the monuments and important figures from Portuguese history. Each weekend, various Monuments and Character Sets will be given away for free (while supplies last).
