On Friday, the Ministry of Health announced four deaths and 1,752 new cases of Covid-19, with a total of 68.678 tests carried out across Cyprus last week.
From 26 August to 1 September, the positivity rate for Mediterranean islands was 2.55%.
The total number of coronavirus deaths has risen to 1,172.
Currently, 42 coronavirus patients are being treated at state hospitals, 10 of them in critical condition.
In addition, three patients who have cleared their infections remain intubated in the intensive care unit.
The four recorded deaths are:
- Died August 26, 78-year-old male
- 82-year-old woman who died on August 26
- Passed away on August 26, 87-year-old male
- 83-year-old man who died on August 29
