COVID: 17,155 new cases, 84 victims-English

(ANSA)-May 9 Rome-Italy has had 17,155 new COVID-19 outbreaks in the last 24 hours, with an additional 84 victims of the virus, the Ministry of Health said Monday.

This is comparable to 30,804 new cases and 96 casualties on Sunday.

About 126,559 more tests were performed compared to 203,454 on Sunday.

The positive rate has dropped from 15.1% to 13.5%.

Intensive care cases decrease from 7 to 363 and hospitalizations increase from 80 to 8,735.

The current plus is 1,103,755, down 16,159 on Sunday.

It was recovered and discharged 15,548,091 and increased by 33,496 on Sunday.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the number of cases has been 16,816,419 and the number of deaths has been 164,573. (ANSA).
