Covid-19 vaccine coverage exceeds 83% in the majority of regions

Most local constituencies have a Covid-19 vaccine intake rate of over 83% of the population over the age of 12.

According to official figures, a total of 90% of all local constituencies (LEAs) across Ireland have high vaccination rates.

With 90% of LEA, the Covid-19 vaccination rate for ages 5-11 is less than 23.4% of the population.

This figure was produced in the fourth publication of the Central Statistics Office (CSO) and provides insights into Ireland’s Covid-19 vaccination program.

Covid-19 booster vaccination rates from fully vaccinated populations in LEA across the country range from 52 percent to 75 percent.

The region with the highest Covid-19 booster vaccination rates is the West Cork bantry.

Blanchardstown and Mulhuddart in Dublin are the regions with the lowest Covid-19 booster vaccination rates.

Male employees aged 18 to 24 have the lowest Covid-19 booster vaccine intake of 45%.

People working in human health and social welfare activities had the highest Covid-19 booster vaccination rate at 82%, and those working in accommodation and food service activities had the lowest rate at 56%.

Among employees, the lowest Covid-19 booster vaccine intake in all age groups is in the EU’s 14-27 nationality groups.

CSO statistician Steven Conroy said: “This Covid-19 Vaccination Bulletin is based on vaccinations and boosters administered by March 4, 2022.

“this [CSO] Bulletin contains vaccine intake analysis for both 5-11 year olds and the population over 12 years old as indicated by the Local Constituency (LEA).

“The region is divided into deciles and shows the vaccination rate.

“This bulletin also shows two maps, one is the decrement of the Covid-19 vaccination rate by LEA and the second is the booster rate by LEA from the fully vaccinated population. ..

“In 90% of LEA, the Covid-19 vaccination rate for ages 5-11 is less than 23.4%.

“In 90% of LEA, the Covid-19 vaccination rate for people over 12 years old exceeds 83.9% of the population.

“According to our analysis, Covid-19 booster vaccination rates range from 52% to 75% for all LEAs in the country.

“The LEAs with the highest Covid-19 booster vaccination rates are Dublin’s Bantry, Westcork, BlackRock, Dublin, Belmullet, Mayo, Rathfarnham-Templeogue and Stillorgan.

“The Blanchardstown-Mulhuddart, Tarat South, North Inner City, Onger and Barry Mann-Finglas regions are one of the lowest Covid-19 booster vaccination rates in the country.”

in the meantime, There were another 1,171 positive cases of Covid-19 Confirmed by PCR test in Ireland.

In addition, an additional 1,607 people registered for positive antigen testing through the HSE portal.

As of 8 am on Friday, 599 Covid-19 patients were hospitalized and 39 were in the ICU.
