COVID: 19,160 new cases, 91+ victims – Japanese

(ANSA) – Rome, 2 September – Italy had 19,160 new cases of CIOVID-19 in the last 24 hours, with a further 91 infected with the virus, the health ministry said on Friday.

That compares with 20,503 new cases and 68 additional victims on Thursday.

About 158,970 more tests were conducted, compared to Thursday’s 155,751.

The positive rate has dropped from 13.2% to 12.1%.

Cases in intensive care decreased from 12 to 195 and hospitalizations from 143 to 4,819.

There are now 620,385 positive cases, down 13,809 on Thursday.

21,111,274 (+32,876) have recovered and been discharged.

There have been 21,907,413 cases and 175,754 deaths since the pandemic began. (ANSA).
