COVID: 22,361 new cases, more than 80 victims-English

(ANSA)-Rome, June 8-There have been 22,361 new cases of COVID-19 in Italy in the last 24 hours, with an additional 80 victims of the virus, the Ministry of Health said Wednesday.

This is comparable to 28,082 new cases and more than 70 casualties on Tuesday.

An additional 188,024 tests were performed compared to Tuesday’s 233,553.

The positive rate has dropped from 12% to 11.8%.

Intensive care unit cases are reduced from 20 to 199 and hospitalizations are reduced from 46 to 4,296.

The current plus is 628,995, down 18 on Tuesday.

Recovery and emissions were 16,769,897, an increase of 22,827 on Tuesday.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the number of cases has been 17,566,061 and the number of deaths has been 167,169. (ANSA).
