COVID: 48,255 new cases, more than 138 victims-English

(ANSA)-May 5 Rome-Italy has 48,255 new COVID-19 outbreaks in the last 24 hours, with an additional 138 victims of the virus, the Ministry of Health said Thursday.

This is comparable to Wednesday’s 47,039 new cases and 152 casualties.

Approximately 327,178 tests were performed compared to Wednesday’s 335,275.

The positive rate has risen from 14% to 14.7%.

Intensive care cases are reduced from 2 to 369 and hospitalizations are reduced from 230 to 9,384.

The current plus is 1,165,124, down 21,946 on Wednesday.

Wednesday collections and emissions were 15,353,323, an increase of 70,523.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the number of cases has been 16,682,626 and the number of deaths has been 164,179. (ANSA).
