(ANSA)-Rome, May 3-There have been 62,071 new cases of COVID-19 in Italy in the last 24 hours, with an additional 153 virus victims, the Ministry of Health said Tuesday.
This is comparable to 18,896 new cases and 124 casualties on Monday.
Approximately 411,047 tests were performed compared to 122,444 on Monday.
The positive rate has dropped from 15.4% to 15.1%.
Intensive care cases are reduced from 2 to 366 and hospitalizations are reduced from 279 to 9,695.
The current plus is 1,199,960, down 5,142 on Monday.
Monday collections and emissions were 15,222,419, an increase of 67,398.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the number of cases has been 16,586,268 and the number of deaths has been 163,889. (ANSA).
