COVID: 83,555 new cases, 69 victims-English

(ANSA)-Rome, June 28-There have been 83,555 new cases of COVID-19 in Italy in the last 24 hours, with an additional 69 virus victims, the Ministry of Health said Tuesday.

This is comparable to the increase of 24,747 new cases and 63 casualties on Monday.

Approximately 717,400 tests were performed compared to 100,959 on Monday.

The positive rate has dropped from 24.5% to 11.6%.

Up to 3 to 237 cases in the intensive care unit and up to 162 to 6,035 hospitalizations.

The current plus is 773,450, an increase of 34,599 on Monday.

It was recovered and discharged 17,401,738, an increase of 49,493 on Monday.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the number of cases has been 18,343,422 and the number of deaths has been 168,234. (ANSA).
