Czech lawmakers recognize Ukrainian famine in the 1930s as a genocide

The Vice Council officially recognized the 1932 and 1933 artificial famines in Ukraine as a genocide against the Ukrainian people. In a resolution passed Wednesday, the MP strongly condemned the crime and expressed sympathy for the victim’s family.
The resolution states that in the context of the current Russian war against Ukraine, the Czech House of Representatives has expressed its determination to contribute to the promotion of international principles, including identifying the perpetrators of such crimes. ..
The resolution was submitted by speaker Markéta Pekarová Adamová and the head of the Security Commission PavelŽáček.
