Hyderabad: On Wednesday, authorities destroyed 10 more structures, continuing their efforts on unauthorized construction in the municipalities around Hyderabad.
The District Task Force and the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Bureau (HMDA) have strengthened their impetus by removing key illegal structures, including two-acre five-story buildings and warehouses.
The Task Force cracked down on 33 major unauthorized constructions in three days.
On Wednesday, the Task Force team removed illegal buildings from the Samkunta, Manikoda, Shamshabad, and Peda Amber Pet municipalities.
Five buildings were demolished in the city of Samkunta, two each at Manikonda and Shamshabad, and one at Peda Amber Pet.
The demolished structures include two structures spanning 2.25 acres in Samkunta and another 1.20 acres in Shamshabad.
Authorities destroyed 10 unauthorized buildings on the first day of the demolition drive and 13 on the second day.
Previously, drives were conducted in the municipalities of Shankar Paris, Badampet, Dundigal, Boduppal and Pokaram.
City planning officials were also raised because they could not identify unauthorized buildings during construction.
