The Danish Energy Agency has warned that a gas supply crisis has triggered a decline in Russia’s gas supply.

Players in the Danish gas market need to prepare for a real supply crisis, the Danish Energy Agency warned on Tuesday.

Due to the growing uncertainty associated with gas supply from Russia, the Directorate General has chosen to tighten gas control levels. Russia has reduced deliveries to Germany by 60%.

“We are in a serious situation, exacerbated by the decline in deliveries from Russia to the European gas market,” said Martin Hansen, Deputy Director of the Danish Energy Agency.

“We are closely tracking the trends in the gas market. We still have gas in Denmark and have plans to secure consumers. Fortunately, we have a lot of green energy. So Denmark is well equipped, “he said.

Denmark’s gas reserves are currently 75%. From November, it should be 80% to reach the EU target.
