To commemorate the 200th anniversary of the 1821 Revolution, the Greek National Opera presents a double invoice consisting of two notable works representing the Ionian School of Music and the National School of Music. Nikos Skalkottas (1904-1949)’s “Greek Dance” is a fusion of contemporary and Greek folk song elements, newly choreographed by Patricia Apergi, Linda Capetanea and Joseph Fursek. In the second part, Paolo Carrer’s “Despo”, written in 1875 and based on the play of Antonios Manusos, considered the first Greek soap opera, is conducted by Jorgos Giavras and directed by Jorgos Nanouris. it was done.
