Zagreb, April 26, 2022 – The most successful club in Croatian football history – Dinamo Zagreb – is celebrating its 111th birthday today.
HŠK Građanski, the first Croatian citizens’ sports club of the club’s pedigree, was formed on April 26, 1911.
Dinamo Zagreb has won 22 Croatian First Division titles, 16 Croatian Soccer Cups and 6 Croatian Super Cups. The club spent its entire presence on top flights.
Dinamo Zagreb is also the only Croatian club to handle European silverware, defeating Leeds United in the final to win the 1966-67 Intercity’s Fair Cup. They also won second place in the same tournament when they lost to Valencia in 1963.

Famous players who have played at the Maximir Club for many years include Drazen Elkovich, Zlatko, Niko Kranicha, Zvonimir Boban, Roberto Procinech, Davor Šuker, Luka Modric, Mateo Kovacic, Eduardo da Silva, Dejan Lovren and Mario Mandzukic. It is included.
