Draghi demands Ukrainian Marshall Plan-English

(ANSA)-May 12, Rome-On Wednesday night, Prime Minister Mario Draghi called for the Ukrainian Marshall Plan at the end of his visit to the United States.

Draghi made his proposal in a speech to the Atlantic Council, which gave him that leadership award.

He said Ukraine needed a post-war reconstruction plan with Russia, just as Europe enjoyed it thanks to the United States after World War II.

Draghi added, “We must do everything for peace,” reaffirming Italy’s readiness for that role.

He also said, “It’s time in Europe. We have to seize this opportunity.” (ANSA).
