Dubai’s JLT infrastructure upgrade, including new road network

Many projects to upgrade the infrastructure of the Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) community in Dubai will be completed this year.

These projects include the construction and landscaping of a new road network that facilitates travel between the JLT and the Jumeirah Island region and provides additional parking space for visitors to the community.

The community’s master developer, DMCC, is also working on various lake renovations throughout JLT, including strengthening lake walls and improving water quality.

The DMCC is reported to have made significant progress in the palm replacement project, which completed the removal and replanting of 60 new palm trees in the first phase of the project, in addition to the renovation of the façade of the Jewellery and Gemplex building. I am. The palm replacement work will continue next year.

In addition, several new sports and recreation facilities will be added to JLT in 2022 to serve 100,000 people who live, work and visit the community.

JLT had other major infrastructure projects completed last year. These include landscaping and hardscape improvements at both DMCC and Sobha Realty subway stations, and the installation of approximately 2,000 low-energy LED lights throughout JLT. Other projects include upgrading four playgrounds with new equipment and sunshades, deploying RTA electric scooter stations throughout the district, and three levels of community retail and dining space brought to JLT in collaboration with Bull & Roo. Meanwhile, the Dubai Multicommodity Center Authority announced earlier this month that it had attracted 2,485 companies to Dubai in 2021 to achieve a record high.
