Embassy of Italy participates in Doha International Book Fair

The Italian Embassy in Doha participates in the Doha International Book Fair (DIBF), holds a national booth specializing in books for children, exhibits, reads, and works on the works of Italian writers and book illustrators for children. We will hold a workshop.

The 31st edition of DIBF, sponsored by the Qatar Cultural Heritage Event Center, will be held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center from Thursday, January 13th to January 22nd.
DIBF’s largest Italian Pavilion is organized and managed in collaboration with Italy’s leading organization, Reggio Children, in the areas of early childhood education and the promotion of children’s rights. This facility is famous for its educational project “Reggio Emilia Approach”. This project is being developed and updated daily at Reggio Emilia’s Municipal Infant Center and Kindergarten.

The booth will display and sell a selection of children’s books published by Italian publishers or Italian writers. In addition, the agenda includes a variety of free activities throughout the fair, such as the workshop “Marks, Words, Mosaic of Materials” and children’s reading of books by Italian writers in English, Arabic and Italian. The Italian Embassy also announced the participation of Italian artist Enrika Pizzikoli, who specializes in children’s illustrations and is the creator of the booth’s main logo. He will have a live digital painting session during the fair.
