United Arab Emirates airline Emirates has announced that it will completely suspend flights to and from Dubai’s six African destinations and suspend one-way services from the other seven countries.

With the website update on Wednesday, January 5, guests from the following destinations will not be allowed to travel to or through Dubai until further notice.

Republic of Angola (LAD)

Republic of Guinea (CKY)

Republic of Kenya (NBO)

United Republic of Tanzania (DAR)

Republic of Uganda (EBB)

Republic of Ghana (ACC)

Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (ADD)

Outbound passenger flights from Dubai to these destinations are unaffected.

However, the airline added that all flights to and from the following destinations will be suspended indefinitely.

Republic of Côte d’Ivoire (ABJ)

Lusaka (LUN)

Harare (HRE)

Lagos (LOS)

Abuja (ABV)

Casablanca (CMN)

The airline added that passengers whose travels were affected as a result of these changes do not need to contact the airline immediately for rebooking.

They can hold Emirates tickets and when the flight resumes, contact your travel agent or booking office to make a new travel plan.
