Etihad Airways to live stream FIFA World Cup matches on board

Football fans flying on Etihad Airways during the FIFA World Cup will be able to watch all the matches live in the air.

The match will be broadcast live on Etihad Airways’ E-BOX entertainment channels, Sport 24 and Sport 24 Extra, the company said in a statement on Friday.

Live TV services are available on board the airline’s wide-body aircraft between destinations in Europe, North America, Australia, Asia and Africa and its hub in Abu Dhabi.

Etihad Airways has also increased its frequency of flights to Qatar, with six daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Doha until 18 December to cater to football fans traveling to the game.

“Live football matches are an extension of Etihad Airways’ extensive live TV programming and inflight entertainment,” said Terry Daley, Executive Director of Guest Experience, Brand and Marketing, Etihad Airways. increase.

Besides soccer, Etihad Airways guests can also stream other international sporting events, such as the National Basketball Association and the National Football League. The airline’s E-BOX features live global news channels as well as the latest movies.

Dubai-based airline Emirates also announced last week that it will broadcast all FIFA World Cup matches live, including the December 18 final.
