EU rejects statement on acceptance into Turkic state machine of occupied north

european union Announcement on Saturday Rejected Turkey’s statement on accepting Turkish Cypriot separatist groups as observers of the Turkic state apparatus.

A statement from the European External Action Service said: “This decision, pending the ratification of the members of the organization, is regrettable, with several members of the organization expressing strong support for the principles of territorial integrity and the UN Charter. It contradicts the facts.”

“The EU has repeatedly made it clear, including at the highest political level, that it only recognizes the Republic of Cyprus as subject to international law in accordance with its respective UN Security Council resolutions,” it added.

“Turkey’s actions to promote or assist in any way the international recognition of Cyprus separatist groups seriously undermine efforts to create a conducive environment for resuming reconciliation talks under the auspices of the United Nations. gives

“The EU is fully committed to a comprehensive solution of the Cyprus question on the basis of a two-region, two-community federation with political equality, in accordance with the relevant UN Security Council resolutions and in line with EU agreements and principles. The European Union will be established. There is no substitute for it,” emphasized the European External Action Service.

On Friday, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavsogur announced the alleged recognition of the TRNC, an intergovernmental organization aimed at promoting cooperation between Turkish-speaking countries.

Cavusoglu wrote on Twitter that everything was progressing “step by step”, citing Turkey’s efforts to achieve international recognition for the breakaway state.

Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar also applauded the decision.

However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus and the foreign minister of OTC member Uzbekistan downplayed Turkey’s statement.
