EU’s sixth sanctions package against Russia targets banks and oil imports

A Belgian customs representative told Sputnik today that about 3,000 containers and 5,000 vehicles destined for Russia are being checked or blocked at the Belgian port due to European sanctions against Moscow.

“Currently, 2,980 containers and 4,876 vehicles are being checked in Belgian ports,” the representative said.

Officials added that 876 cars (expensive cars, costing more than € 50,000 (US $ 52,538) and exports from the EU to Russia are banned under anti-Russian sanctions) were detained.
