Evia surpasses demand for social tourism vouchers in August

About 50,000 social tourism vouchers were cashed in August, according to Public Employment Service (DYPA, formerly known as OAED) data.

Last month, a total of 49,000 OAED/DYPA 2022-23 social tourism vouchers were activated at tourist accommodations across Greece, a 4% increase compared to the number of vouchers activated in the corresponding period last year.

Over 5,500 domestic vessel vouchers were also activated.

Evia Island was the most popular destination in August this year, with 6,498 vouchers, a 223% increase compared to the same period last year.
