Exhibition of student work at the Lady In Red gallery in Lagoa

For the fifth year in a row, the Sovereign Art Foundation (SAF) will host the Student Prize Portugal Exhibition, presenting the student work of the 30 finalists of this year’s competition.

Middle school students from all over Portugal were invited to participate, and the finalists were chosen by an elite group of jurors from the artistic world.

The exhibition is being held until September 3 at Galleria Lady in Red, Lagoais a huge gallery of over 400 works of art displayed in what was once part of the local wine cooperative.

Part of the artwork for both awards is available for purchase through a ‘silent auction’. www.SovereignArtFoundation.com The funds raised from the sale will be split equally between the artists themselves and Associação SAF, the Portuguese arm of the Sovereign Art Foundation, which aims to bring the therapeutic benefits of art to underprivileged children in Portugal.
